The first customer

A founder brings a dazzling demo to a noodle shop just as lunch goes wrong.

AI agents
Building a business

Nia's sales demo filled the noodle shop with holographic koi. They swam through the steam, arranged themselves into revenue charts, and passed straight through a delivery rider who was shouting about the missing dumplings. Nobody looked at a single chart.

Behind the counter, Sol lifted an empty bamboo steamer. “Can your fish warn me before this happens?” Nia swept three weeks of beautiful dashboards off the display. Her agent checked the stock sheet and prepared a rush order. It could draft the purchase; only Nia could send it.

She corrected the quantity, tapped Send, and pulled up a much smaller demo: tomorrow's shortages, before the lunch rush. Sol leaned over to read it. For the first time all morning, he stopped shouting. One forgotten koi drifted through his head.

How it works

1

Choose a story with learning, an audio course, or fiction for its own sake.

2

Edit the premise and add the topics you want to follow across chapters.

3

Create the first chapter, then read, listen, and decide what comes next.

The production loop

The AI podcast generator

Choose a continuing story or a direct audio course. The premise sets its direction, topics give each thread room to develop, and every generated chapter receives narration.

Optional web grounding. an eligible topic can request web grounding when you enable it. The planning step may make zero or more requests, and the account-level research disclosure applies.

One continuous chapter. the selected material is synthesized into a chapter with a title, teaser, and show notes.

Manual or scheduled. create the next chapter when you choose, or deliberately turn on a daily, weekly, biweekly, or monthly cadence.

Full chapters. Continue Without Me's current releases run about 31 minutes. A chapter can be longer when the material calls for it.

Voices & narration

Each completed chapter enters the narration pipeline automatically. Its finished audio appears beside the chapter. You can later choose whether to enable a public-by-URL feed.

Four preset voices. two female, two male, all four recorded in English.

Clone or design your own. record a short clip, or describe the voice you want. Both are paid capabilities with a credit floor.

Teach it your jargon (free). custom pronunciation rules apply to every narration job on every tier.

Defaults where you want them. set the voice for a whole Series, override it for one chapter, or publish a voice to the shared library.

What it writes from

Topics, segments & weaves

Topics are the clear starting point. In fiction they become weaves that can affect choices, discoveries, and conversations. In an audio course they become segments developed across chapters.

One catalog, open to everyone. pick Another Angle, Book Recs, Both Sides, Dreams, Mirror, Teach Me, Try It, or Wisdom Tale. The topic follows future catalog improvements until you customize it.

Fiction weaves. say what the story should carry, in your own words, on any account. Depth is the one preset held for gated accounts.

Fiction or nonfiction. the mode is per Series. Choose Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Cyberpunk, Literary, Parable, Memoir, or Companion, or write the style yourself.

You decide the order. segments reach the prompt in the order you put them in, every chapter. Nothing reshuffles them or quietly decides one matters more than another.

Shape the next chapter

Journal context is optional. A Series can use no notes, selected tagged notes, everything except selected tags, or the whole journal. The source choice stays visible and editable.

Add a focused note. connect an ordinary tag to a journal-free Series, then write a note with that tag. Existing and future eligible notes carrying it enter the same narrow source scope.

Keep existing scopes. a Series already using the whole journal, an allowlist, or an exclusion list keeps that setting unless you explicitly change it.

Selected shared context. a shared entry can contribute only when the share permits AI use and your source settings include shared context. Group membership alone never connects a journal.

Direct corrections. feedback remains available when you want to state a change without adding journal context.

The Logbook

Every chapter updates a Logbook you can read and edit, and the next chapter is written from it. It is a real tab next to the chapter text, not a hidden buffer you have to trust.

Themes, on every Series. the ideas the Series keeps returning to, accumulated from the first chapter onward.

Characters, Events, Places. every Series can track who exists, what happened, and where, so a name introduced early does not quietly change forty chapters later. On mobile, fiction keeps these details behind a spoiler toggle until you ask.

Standing facts. one current value per subject: what money is left, who is carrying what, or where the dog got to. The Series updates each fact as the story moves it.

Arcs. a long arc can parent its own beats, so a payoff still points back at the setup that earned it.

Yours to correct. fix a detail, add one the model missed, or leave a feedback note that steers the next run.

Where it goes

Your rolls, placed properly

Upload sponsor messages, announcements, calls to action, or other reusable clips. Gnothi places your intro, midroll, and closing audio where a break belongs.

A natural break. Gnothi places each midroll around a topic change and a suitable pause, using the timing you choose.

Context replay. after a midroll it replays a few seconds of what came before, so a listener picks the thread back up.

Two timing modes. use a fixed interval or spread rolls evenly through the episode, then choose which ones run in each chapter.

Swap one, see what it touched. change a roll and every episode still carrying the old cut is flagged stale, so you know at a glance which ones to refresh.

Publish an RSS feed

A new show starts private. When you choose a public tier and confirm your publishing rights, you can add its RSS feed to an app or submit it to podcast directories.

Podcast and text feeds. the audio feed supports iTunes categories and a custom slug; a text-only variant is available for e-readers.

Cover art and a show description. generate both - Gemini draws the cover, an LLM writes the description. Both bill credits.

You choose when to publish. enabling a public tier asks you to confirm that you hold the right to publish the material.

Pages are a further step. the feed is what every account gets. On-site show pages on gnothiai.com, and a slot in the featured directory above, are gated tiers.

Read it or listen to it

Gnothi keeps where you stopped reading and where you stopped listening as two separate positions, plus which mode you used last - written by both the web and the mobile chapter viewers against the same record.

Two positions, one Series. a read fraction and a listen fraction, side by side. Skim the text at lunch, finish the audio in the car, and neither loses your place.

Both surfaces write the same record. the phone knows what the laptop did, because they update one field rather than two caches.

Export the book. a Series with a finished chapter can be exported as an EPUB with chapter headings and a navigable table of contents.

Keep audio and text together. the chapter reader exposes the written chapter and its finished narration from the same Series.
