Export or delete your data
Both are in Settings, under Your data. Open the account menu in the app or on the web and choose Settings.
Export data downloads your entries, fields, history, tags and notes as one JSON file.
Delete account permanently deletes your account and everything in it, including any credits left on it. You can do it yourself at any time without emailing us. There is no subscription to cancel.
Refunds
Credits bought in the iOS app are billed by Apple, so Apple handles the refund. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Credits bought in the Android app are billed by Google. Request a refund through Google Play.
If Apple or Google refunds a purchase, the credits it added come off your balance.

How credits work
Credits pay for AI work, such as writing a chapter or summarizing an entry. Reading a chapter or listening to its audio never uses credits.
New accounts start with free credits, and credits don't expire. If your balance runs out, AI features pause until you top up. Your entries and everything else stay as they are.
To check your balance or buy more, go to Settings, then AI and credits, then Top up.
Report or block someone in a group
Every group message gets an automatic check for harassment, abuse and spam, and flagged messages are removed.
To report a message, open the three-dot menu next to it, choose Report and pick a reason. The message disappears for you right away. The group's owner and admins can remove it or ban the person who posted it, and they don't see who reported it. We get an email about each report too.
To block someone, open the same menu on one of their messages and choose Block. Their group messages and entry comments disappear for you everywhere, and they can no longer comment on your entries. They aren't notified.
To unblock someone, open Blocked users from any group. On the web it's in the group's sidebar, and in the app it's under the group's About tab.
You can also email tylerrenelle@gmail.com with the group's name, the name the person posts under, and what happened.
You can leave a group you've joined at any time. Group owners can also remove or ban members.
Trouble signing in
You can sign in with an email and password, with Google, or with Sign in with Apple. Use the same method you signed up with.
Forgot your password? Reset it from the sign-in page at gnothiai.com. The new password works in the app too.
Google and Apple sign-ins connect to an existing account with the same email address. If you chose Hide My Email with Apple, Gnothi gets a private relay address instead, so that sign-in becomes a separate account. If you end up with two accounts, email tylerrenelle@gmail.com and tell us which addresses you used.
